I think this is a very interesting article on why there is no human Lyme disease vaccine. I personally would like to get it.

It may happen . A broad based vaccine, effective against all strains of Borrelia, is being tested.

Let's hope the anti-vaccine nuts don't ruin that, too.

Right. It's interesting that Princeton is importing a vaccine from Europe to combat meningococcal meningitis. This vaccine is not yet approved by the FDA but they are getting some sort of special dispensation.

I heard that, too. I find it fascinating that they are able to do that. I'm glad for that community though.

I get tired of seeing people advertise "don't let the media make you think you have to vaccinate your kids, schools really can't deny you because of vaccinations!!!"

Funny that there is a vaccine for dogs but not for humans!

Hope this can work!

Interesting. Let's hope.
The FDA is rightfully cautious, but I sometimes think that informed consumers should be able to decide on the levels of risk they are willing to take.

I'm taking the dogs to the vets today for their Lyme shots. I was thinking of getting the vaccine and giving myself some but for now I decided against it.

I agree with DJ - in answer to the question, my answer is  'no' and that's that.

Very interesting F. Luckily for us, ticks are not prevalent unless we go up into the mountains, which we rarely do. It's also too dry for fleas to be an issue so again, I'm very glad!
