I love this, Andrea. My kids are 'strange' also. Quirky kids are just the best! When we adopted Simon, I really, really wanted a female dog that I could name Ruby. When we ended up with Simon and had the family debate to name him, the kids humored me by putting Ruby in his name, so he was Simon Webber Ruby Haver - not nearly as fun as Jimmy-Joe John Bob Jeremiah Johnston. That name just tickles me.
Marital Status: Married, 26 years
Children: 0
Dogs: Asti, toy/mini poodle, was an anniversary present for our 2nd anniversary. We served Asti Spumonti at our wedding reception thus the name Asti! She died just short of her 16th birthday.
Lucy and Sophie -- pretty much both our dogs, 4 y/o liter mate goldendoodles.
Married 44 years
2 children, 7 grandchildren
We have had 5 dogs together:
Heidi...a miniature schnauzer delivered unannounced from grandpa on my daughter's 1st birthday...
Whiskers...another miniature schnauzer to keep Heidi company, she really was his 'mom'...
Hobo...a yellow lab meant to keep Whiskers company when we lost Heidi, but it backfired...Hobo was a field trial dog, full of energy & he did not like other dogs. Whiskers would not relinquish position & we spent many years on edge. Both were sweet, just not together.
Jake...another yellow lab, easily the most wonderful dog ever. He taught Baker to be as gentle & loving as he was & we miss him terribly.
Baker...3 years old, F1 goldendoodle, another most wonderful dog ever. We adore this dog !
Oskar...still waiting for him to be born...should be any day. He will be a double doodle :)
There is nothing like a dog to warm your home & your heart. They keep us entertained & add so much to our lives!
So what is a groodle? I am guessing not a golden retriever/poodle.
I had the same question so I looked it up. Seems to be another name for a goldendoodle
I don't like that name. It doesn't sound pretty at all. I will stick with Goldendoodle!!!! ha ha
Agreed. I have a goldendoodle.
