Cream cheese and hard salami on rye. My absolute favorite, and the only reason I don't eat it more often is not because of the fat content, but because good-quality, Kosher hard salami is $16/lb.
But I'm a high protein, low carbs kind of gal.
I often don't use bread in my "sandwiches"...I just make myself a little stack of salami slices stuck together with the cream cheese.I LOVE cream cheese and salami. Karen, spread some cream cheese on salami and roll it around a pretzel stick. I love to use the little sticks and put a couple in there, you can also use a big pretzel stick. My mom used to use these as appetizers :) I do low carb too and usually just roll up the cream cheese in the salami.
You can also spread cream cheese on larger slices of meats like lean Polish ham, roll it up and slice it; looks like little ice cream cake roll slices. I've been served those as hors d'oevres, with a toothpick through it.

put yourself a sliver of sweet pickle in that salami and cream cheese roll and now you've got yummy!
