tell me about your Aussiedoodle - oppurtunity to brag on your doodle

Hello
I have a Goldendoodle that I love to death. He is incredibly social, loves everyone. He is an only pup.
He has a pet cat but .....
I am wondering if a Aussiedoodle might make a good brother for him but I do not have any personal experience with the Aussiedoodle.. I met a pup and he was so low key I couldn't help but wonder...
I met this pup's sibling she was incredibly beautiful blue merle but crazy wild and single minded... at 8 weeks aready a hand full.... Not this pup mellow as can be...
I have heard that Aussies are crazy so I wondered if it was possible for a Aussie doodle to be so mellow..

Please tell me about your Aussiedoodle... What are your temperaments like? any cases of OCD?

I truly love my mini aussiedoodle. He is very smart. I have taught him 5 or 6 tricks with little problem. Great with my small children. Low shredding, loves to cuddle and sleeps with me in bed (never thought I would allow that to happen).
Problems I have: he is a small dog so he is a little barky, Runs off if door opens (I guess a little more training is a must). And has separation anxiety so I crate him. He was getting car sick if he traveled more than a 1/2 mile, but I think I finally got him over that issue.
Now he does have lots of energy. He is 15lbs and he playfully chases my 90lb rottie around the house.
I hope this helps.
One last thing, I have had 4 other dogs and so far this is my very favorite dog.
gabriele~ i have 2 aussiedodles.one mini and one medium. i have had herding dogs my entire life. my most recent pack, before the aussiedoods consisted of 3 border collies. they were/are as smart as any canines on the planet. and...needed to have focus
for all of their amazing energy. my oldest passed away at almost 15 in dec. i still have two 13 yr. olds and though slower, still sharp as tacks. i knew that i wanted to get a new pup because i could not bear the thought of losing my 3 b collies. i knew i could not get b collies again because it would make me too sad . my intention was to get an australian sheperd pup. my dear friend who breeds border collies had it all arranged...then, i found doodlesville by chance .what a blessing that turned out to be! nancy and steve were right there from the very beginning and continue to be for any questions ,support and sometimes just fun emails. we picked edie up in sept. she is a medium aussiedoodle and at 10 months and 30 pounds, she is amazing. she was the star of her puppy preschool and obedience school. she wants desperately to be a lap dog(and often is when we allow her to be ) i have two nieces 5 and 1 yrs. old. who spend thursdays and fridays with me.edie has been with them and gentle as a lamb since the day she arrived. through another set of amazing circumstances, we then got charlie in february. what an adorable jokester he is at 12 lbs,at 5 months .he too is smart as a whip and brave. he broke his rear leg at 3 months old, had surgery, and had to be kept away from edie and the rest of the pack. though the injury slowed him down(a little) physically, he has continued to match edie and my borders in intelligence and skill acquisition. my vet of 15 yrs, who has been in practice for almost 30, thinks that edie and charlie are two of the finest dogs he has ever worked with both physically and tempermentally. important for me also because i am a therapist and plan to utilize them as therapy dogs when they are adults. i believe that their beginnings at doodlesville have more then a lot to do with how amazing they are. and, any dog, especially really smart ones, truly need to learn where their place is in the family/pack. these guys learn faster then fast. my sister was a breeder of golden retrievers for many years and she loves the goldendoodle mix...sees where the mix of the poodle intelligence boosts tehe loving qualities of the lab. i think her next dog may be an aussiedoodle...she is so in
love with edie and charlie. gee..do you think i love these aussidoodles or what??! please feel free to contact me if you have any other questions :O)
Mollie, my 10 week old Aussiedoodle is amazing.I decided on an Aussiedoodle instead of a Labradoodle because of size. I needed a smaller dog and fell in love with the breed. I happened upon Doodlesville and met the most loving "breeder family" who helped me with the process. Then, this litter was born and We fell in love with our little red merle girl. I have had Dobermans, Labradors and mutts before. All very well behaved, socialized and harmonious with cats, ducks and whatever else was thrown in the mix while our kids were growing up.Then came Mollie who shares our home with a 14 yr old Lab, and 3 cats, already a pack member, by the way. This sweetie is the smartest most lovable pup I have ever encountered. She has already learned sit, stay and come, and is working on down. She has no potty accidents inside ,goes to the rear door and whines when she needs to go out, and sleeps in her crate at night 11pm to 6:30 am with no accidents. She is playful, loves her exercise which we give her every day and is extremely social. Everyone who has met her is amazed as well. I am truely in awe of this breed nd am actually contemplating another. OCD, definetely not. She is a 10 week old puppy who acts like a normal 2 year old child.Inquisitve, fun, and brings joy and smiles to us constantly, not to mention an occasional stick or leaf. She loves carrying objects around. Who could expect more??!!! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
Duff is a pretty mellow puppy. He certainly needs to get his daily dose of exercise, but that keeps him happy and out of trouble. He is always by my side and people after remark that he is both adorable and laid back. Good luck.
