Here's an idea for an indoor game that I just found. I'll try to get video of it later today.
All you need to play is a bucket, a tennis ball and a Doodle. Here's how it works...
1) Leash your dog and have him sit/stay.
2) Show him the tennis ball.
3) Show him where you are placing the bucket.
4) Let him watch as you drop the ball in the bucket at least two times.
5) Put the ball into his mouth and lead him to the bucket. Say "Drop". Take the ball gently from his mouth and drop it into the bucket. Give him a treat every time the ball drops into the bucket.
6) Repeat until he understands that he is to drop the ball into the bucket. When he does in successfully 3 times in a row, take off the leash.
7) Tell him to sit/stay in the same spot.
8) Throw the ball and have him catch it.
9) Say drop and see if he goes to the bucket and drops it in. Reward him if he does.
Thanks Jane-I came on here to see what's new. Too hot-too cold-too rainy-too muddy etc. My doodles are moping. They have been going for a lot of car rides lately to get out of this house! This sounds fun but Myla is not good at giving her ball up!
