Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I took a flop last Saturday and hit my ribs on the threshold of a door. It just knocked the breath out of me and didn't cause any serious pain at the moment. For some reason, five days later, my right ribs began hurting so badly that I had problems holding my camera and flash (5D-Mk2 camera, 70-200mm f/4L IS lens and 600EX flash). I had to quit today after portraits of three out of the six doodle-like puppies we recently rescued. I will shoot and post the last three in a day or two. These are the three I shot today...
Adele...
Allie...
Ariel...
Judy, a retired Registered Nurse, asures me that the ribs are not broken or fractured, just bruised.

So adorable! What perky little ears they have!
We were told by the shelter that these are Maltese-Poodle mixes. However, in my well over 20-years experience with Maltese and Maltese mix puppies, I have never seen any that look like this.
Shelter "guestimations" regarding dog breeds are not necessarily accurate.
My suspicions are that these might be Cocker Spaniel + Poodle mixes = Cockapoos. However, there is a possibility that they might be miniature doodles. They look quite a bit like Holly as a puppy. This is Holly at 7 1/2 weeks. She weighed 8 pounds. The largest puppy weighs close to four pounds at a six week estimated age...
These are Holly's brothers

My Daphne is a mini
Do you know how much Daphne weighed at 6 or 7 weeks old?
The pups do look like Holly did. I am so excited to see them grow.
Such great photos of these cuties! You might consider having your ribs taped. Hope you feel better soon.
I am so sorry you are injured. Your portraits do not reflect that you weren't at your best; they are gorgeous. Heal up quickly!
