Happy New Year all. Do you realize this is the beginning of our 3rd year and we have 334 members? Loads of photos under the bridge to mix metaphors. By a slim margin from our few responses it seems the vote is for different perspectives this month. Pictures taken at ground level, from a dogs perspective, up, down you name it because in the end we all enjoy seeing good, interesting or different things. For a change I actually started this today. I'll put some photos in a reply since I'm sure you get tired of seeing the same thing on every page and it takes up response room.

How funny.

Spent some time outside trying to get a different perspective. This one is a little different because I focused on the reeds and the rocks rather than the mountains. Still trying to get a really unique perspective though. :-)

I tried out HDR again with this photo, but I tried to keep it more realistic looking than most HDR.

Oh Camilla! I LOVE this!!!

Love it, Camilla. Love the colors. Refresh my memory: do you have a camera that takes a set of pictures with different exposures automatically or do you have to fiddle with it before each shot? I'm assuming you are using a tripod, correct? And what software do you use to merge the shots to create HDR? I keep telling myself I should try this, but I'm not quite sure where to begin.

I used a program called photomatix to combine the exposures. And yes, there is a seeing on my camera that allows me to take three exposures automatically. Also, yes, I was using my tripod. I would recommend trying it, its very cool too experiment with!

GORGEOUS photo, Camilla!

If anyone is interested in downloading a trial version of Photomatix, you can get it here:

What will Photomatix do for us?

Camilla, this is absolutely beautiful!

Lovely, Camilla!  I think I see HDR in the clouds--which is one of my favorite spots for it.

This is a very lovely scene and I like the way you did it a lot.

Wow! I am jealous of your photography skills!
