June Assignment Backlighting

I love backlighting so I was happy  Joanne suggested this. Sometimes, however, there are lovely things that are not backlit and naturally they are welcome. In fact, landscapes, dogs, flowers all good. In fact as usual, if you have a great shot put it here. This discussion may go through the first week of July depending on whether I can post easily from parts unknown. Have fun, that's what it's all about.

I love this assignment because I also love backlighting and have begun to experiment with it.  Here are two examples.  The first is a fairly traditional flower image with backlighting from the setting sun, and the second is a more abstract image that features the play of light and color, also taken at sundown.  I'm becoming more and more interested in photographing organic forms in interesting light.

Thanks, everyone.  The second one is also my favorite because it borders on the abstract and highlights the lovely natural forms that nature provide through color and light.
