Judy shot this series of images of me as I was holding a rescue dog.

Since I am always the guy behind the camera, never in front of it, I seldom have any photos of myself so I cropped the image as a head and shoulders portrait.

Unfortunately, since I am getting along in years, my face shows the ravages of time.  I often use Portrait Professional on my portraits of females and decided to try it on this portrait of me.  I was ready to junk it if it looked too phony.  However, I kind of like this.  It is good for my vanity...

I guess Portrait Professional works on old geezers like me!

Richard this is a great picture.  My dad...also a combat vet in Vietnam and Korea (USMC) also was the guy behind the camera.  Now that he is gone, I am so sad I don't have a lot of pictures of him...  Make sure to take the time and have someone take pictures of you too!  Your family will love to have them..AND it's OK to be a little vane from time to time

You did a great job but I still prefer the before. You have a lot of character and have earned your handsome face : )

LIKE!

I agree F!

Great!

Richard this is a wonderful photo.  I like the original and the edited both. I love your hat. My dad was a veteran and very big into helping vets out!

It is amazing how attitudes have changed.  In the days of the Vietnam conflict, the long haired hippie with his mini-skirted girlfriend would call returning servicemen "baby killers".  That really bothered a lot of service people returning from Vietnam but really didn't phase me.  I was a combat cameraman in Vietnam I saw a lot more babies and women who had been killed by the V.C. or N.V.A. and knew that WE were not the ones who made a practice of killing civilians, despite what the slanted news coverage of the era proclaimed.

However, these days, I never wear this hat without someone thanking me for my service.  In fact, I had a young man say, "Thank you for your service and my freedom!"  I will admit, that this is a lot more pleasant.

Richard, I love Judy's photo of you!

What a fabulous photo, Richard!  I really like it!  BTW, my husband was also in Viet Nam...front lines. He just bought a hat similar to yours!
