Really Fun DIY, Create Your Own Custom Bokeh.

I saw a DIY for making your own heart shaped bokeh the other day and knew I wanted to try it. I used this tutorial, and just used some black construction paper and tape. It worked great!

Here is are some photos I took today with my homemade heart bokeh "cap". I can't believe it worked! I really like the way it looks. I want to try star shaped next! Just thought I would share, in case anyone wants to try it. :-)

very cool.  what lens did you use and how big was the heart you cut out? will you post a picture of the cap you made? great pics!

I used the 50mm 1.8 lens... I don't know exactly how big the heart I cut out was. Sorry for the quality of the photo of my camera, it was taken with my phone.

The DIY site also has some other pretty neat ideas along with some pretty far out projects.  It's a worthwhile site to bookmark, I just wish they had a better index for the site...
