The Calendar for 2013

Congratulations to all the winners!!! And we know that many people who submitted great photos after lots of hard work did not get selected. Many fine photos are not selected for reasons of all kinds. We'd love to see shots that were selected here as well as a personal favorite of those that did not get selected. Let's all look over the calendars, and order some of course, and get ideas for next year. Also, keep on shooting, I will skip today in deference to the hurricane we are in the midst of. But Adina noted she had few fall photos and it's a good idea to take photos in all seasons, not just right before the picture due date.

Ronna I want to add that in the past Murphy and Wilson have been in the calendar in similar poses (laying down, chin on ground) and that kind of biased me against more of the same/similar pose using the same dogs.  While I was considering making another puppy calendar, though, one laying down Wilson photo was being considered.  I decided against a puppy calendar and since I liked the whimsical birthday Wilson quite a bit I didn't put in any others of him.  It's an odd process, this calendar making stuff.  And it's hard to answer 'why' especially when some perfectly awesome photos did not make it in and maybe my reasons don't make sense to someone else.  I LOVE your photography =)

Ronna, I love these pictures, but because I want to win the cruise door contest, I really think you should stop taking such awesome shots of your dogs. LOL  Actually, the photo that got into the calendar is one of my all time favorites...but don't use it on the door contest poster :)

You are one of the very best DK photographers....all your photos speak to that!  I can only imagine how difficult it is for Adina to get just the right "mix" of pictures.  I don't "wonder why"....I'm just thrilled that any pictures of my boys make it to the calendar.  So keep taking those amazing pictures of Wilson and Murphy and sharing them with us.  If you were in our area I'd hire you in a heartbeat!
