Lori, CONGRATS!!!! What a great trial. Aren't you soooo proud of Maggie??? Great picture. It looks warmer than our trial this past weekend.

That's a lot of different classes - Mac would have no problem with them - I'm not sure I'd be able to give the right command at the right class LOL!!! Tracking sounds like fun. After meeting & speaking with the instructor today I've decided to give the rally class a try.

Lori, Thanks for your input you are right - it is more obedience than obstacle. I guess I wanted to know if anyone else has done rally & if they preferred one over the other. I wonder if obstacles are more fun for the doodle.

Is anyone familiar with AKC Rally? I've been wanting to get Mac involved with agility but the location & times of area classes didn't work. This class is close by & the timing is right. If we start with rally will we be able to switch to agility? I'm observing the class (w/o Mac) today. Thanks for your imput!

Leslie, I have never read that book but would love to know what you think. I do subscribe to Clean Run Magazine.
Lori...what a great picture. Have fun at your trial. Let us know how it goes.

Book - I just purchased the book called: The Beginner's Guide to Dog Agility: Fun, Frolic and Fitness for You and Your Dog! by Laurie Leach . . .
It looks good . . . lots of pictures and tips.
Has anyone else read this book?

Good news, the cysts were benign! Stitches out on Friday morning and then off in the snow to Buckhead, Georgia for our first USDAA trial. I had low expectations because of her surgery, but Parris had other ideas. She got four Q's, 1 second place, and 2 third place finishes. What a learning experience! Now, I have lots to work on!!!
