Hello! I just joined! I am curious if any of the owners in this forum have any of my dogs puppies! Did anyone buy a labradoodle from out in housten, AK?

Hi all! I'm from Alaska, born and raised, but moved to Tacoma, WA this summer because of my husband's job. We miss AK! But Tacoma is treating us well and we got our first Doodle. Just missing home a bit so it's nice seeing pics of Doodles in my favorite state. Thanks so much!

Hello Alaska Doodle Ownwers!

We are new to that state and are looking for a new pup. We moved with our 9 month old goldendoodle and are looking for a playmate for her. We almost brought a new baby with us (from GA) but decided the trip may be rough on both dogs and owners.

Now that we are here and settled in we are looking for another goldendoodle. Any advice? I saw that someone found one in Anchorage...

I'm moving over to Alaska in April 2010 from UK, I have a little Border Terrier that i'm bringing with me but i also can't wait to get a Labradoodle... I saw one at a dog show a little while ago and fell in love. I was told by owner it was a Labradoodle Doodle...

Any info on the breed would be amazing as i only know the basics

Hi Patrice, welcome to our Alaska Doodle group. When I was searching for a Goldendoodle I wasn't able to find any pups on the west coast. I was looking for a English GD. We are very happy with our doodle. It is nice that you are here for Alaskan families who are searching for a doodle in state.

Welcome Sonja and Patrice! I was specifically looking for Golden Doodles when I bought my puppy but it is wonderful to hear there are Labradoodle breeders here in Alaska now. In my experience there are huge differences in personality between them. I hope we get a few high quality Golden Doodle breeders as well! I feel very lucky that I got a wonderful puppy from out of state - it does feel like a bit of a gamble to buy a pup you have never met! We couldn't be happier but I know it doesn't always work out like that!

Welcome to the group! I know there are also some people breeding in Fairbanks too, and hopefully word of mouth will spread your and others' puppies around the state. Everyone isn't comfortable with choosing a breeder through the internet, so vet references, trainers and owner references helped me find my puppy. I hope our group here grows as others learn about it.

Sonja and Maizy, Welcome to the Alaska Doodle Group! It is a small group but hopefully it will grow and we can meet others close by for a romp. It is too bad we are so far apart because it would be so much fun to meet at the park. Murphy and I went to a romp in Seattle and it was a blast.

Hello. I can't believe there are so few of us here, but I just got Maizy, an Australian, who is now eleven weeks old. I live near Denali Park, so if anyone comes this way and wants to "romp" let me know.
