How fun.  Next year I will urge all of my doodles in Atlanta, I've counted 8 on my records, to show up.  This year I just sent them the announcement.  I really liked the sound bite you did.  I sometimes get people looking for and adult doodle.  Ive got two right now.  Did you say you had a rescue labradoodle or goldendoodle?

Lynne, it was nice meeting you as well.  Even though there were only a few of us from DK at the Dog Jog this morning doodles on a whole were well represented by all the other doodles that showed up (who now know about DK).  In fact when Harlow, Lacey and I crossed the finish line the DJ even asked over the PA system if we were having a Doodle National Specialty show. :)

So nice to meet you and your wonderful dogs Harlow and Lacey.  We should try to have more than one doodle romp a year in Atlanta.  I just can't get enough of doodles!

I also thought it might be fun to do a bit of a romp after the race at the Piedmont Park Dog Park.

Join us for the 2011Georgia Veterinary Medical Association’s Atlanta Dog Jog in Piedmont Park on 10/30/11. Register for the 1-mile or 2-mile event which benefits Canine Assistants – www.canineassistants.org. Runners welcome to enter without a dog but will not be eligible for awards. T shirts for runners/walkers and bandanas for the dogs Race starts below tennis courts by parking lot at end of Park drive in Piedmont Park.
Awards for the 1-Mile Event

Awards for the 1-mile event for overall M & F runners with dogs, regardless of dog size.
Awards for the 2-Mile Event

Awards for the 2-mile event as follows: Top 3 M & F finishers, regardless of dog size. Additional awards for: Top 3 M & F finishers with small dog ( < 20 pounds); Top 3 M & F finishers with medium dog (20 – 50 pounds); and Top 3 M & F finishers with large dog (> 50 pounds).

do we need to register. and does anyone know where it starts and where a good place to park is. i assume that won't let the doodles on Marta

My Maggie, the goldendoodle in my profile picture, came into heat so she cant participate. I would still like to meet up with you guys with my standard poodle, therapy dog, and doodle mama, Honey. Anyone know a good place to meet.  There is that restaurant on the hill at the park, but I dont know where in the park the walk starts.  I was doing the 2 mile.  Are you guys doing the 1 mile?

The dog jog starts at 9 for us and is only 1 mile.  Let me check out where the jog starts and see where we can meet.
