I am going to do rescue and rehoming of doodles when I get set up in Oregon. We will be in Southern Oregon and two doodles I had for fostering last year were from Oregon. They were ALDs and very unsocialized.
Jazz is a mini ALD and at 8 months weighs 25 lbs. Extremely well behaved!
Harpo is a regular ALD and about 55 pounds, so I am guessing a mini ALD will be between 30 and 40 pounds. That is a great size. Our little Jackapoo behind the tree is about 30 pounds. Enjoy. It is getting closer.
Yes- we are waiting for a mini ALD. My husband really likes small dogs like pugs, but I'm sure once he meets the puppy he'll fall in love. I'm happy to hear your husband says your dogs are perfect. It gives me hope my husband will feel that way too. :)
Is (s)he an ALD? My husband says our ALD is a perfect dog (except when he is barking continuously or digging holes in the dog run). The size is great, the personality mellow, and the coat pretty easy to maintain. I spent a good portion of yesterday grooming our two dogs and it is good for me and great for them. Harpo just lays down on the table as if to say "Go to it". He loves his Saturday morning pancake hunts. Baths - not so much.
Jenn - Welcome to the ALD group. 418 members, so you may want to post a message if you have any specific concerns.
