I adopted Jack from a shelter. His original owners bought him from a pet store. I know that he is an F1 labradoodle, so he had one Lab parent and one standard poodle parent; it's usually the mom who is the Lab.
I'm sure Jack's Lab parent was a yellow lab. He has a friend who is a yellow lab, and she has the same coloring...very light face, and very light hair on the back of her upper thighs...you know the part that looks like little girl's ruffled panties on our doodles, lol? She has darker apricot coloring like a saddle across her back.
But I have no idea what color Jack's poodle parent was.
What color were your blonde doodle's parents? And were they labs, poodles, goldens, or doodles?
Koda's mom is a black standard poodle and dad is a golden retriever. The litter consists of one black pup (female) and 2 creams pups (that's Koda and another female... I can't remember).
Nugget is classified as "Apricot Creme".....very light everywhere...esp after a bath! :-) Both of her dog parents (whom we met) were also apricot cremes. Since she's a multigen, I don't know if this is relevant info or not.
Susan, does Nugget have darker apricot fur on her back or near the base of her tail? Jack's almost platinum in some areas, but his bask, especially near his rump, is very deep reddish-apricot. I think I'll call him an "apricot creme", too, that sounds yummy! LOL
