Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

I adopted Jack from a shelter. His original owners bought him from a pet store. I know that he is an F1 labradoodle, so he had one Lab parent and one standard poodle parent; it's usually the mom who is the Lab.
I'm sure Jack's Lab parent was a yellow lab. He has a friend who is a yellow lab, and she has the same coloring...very light face, and very light hair on the back of her upper thighs...you know the part that looks like little girl's ruffled panties on our doodles, lol? She has darker apricot coloring like a saddle across her back.
But I have no idea what color Jack's poodle parent was.
What color were your blonde doodle's parents? And were they labs, poodles, goldens, or doodles?

It will be interesting to compare Daisy's coloring with the new puppy's. We are finding such beautiful variations!
Koda's mom is a black standard poodle and dad is a golden retriever. The litter consists of one black pup (female) and 2 creams pups (that's Koda and another female... I can't remember).
Lucky you, with those genetics, Koda's big doodle nose is guaranteed to stay black! I was so disappointed when Jack's nose started fading!
Darwin's father was a white standard poodle. His mother was a darker red Golden Retriever.
Darwin is adorable! He has the happiest face around!
Albus is adorable, too!
I have also noticed that they look extremely similar. Out of curiosity... how much does he way? how tall is he?
Wow, that is tall! Darwin is about 25" and 65 lbs at 11 months. He's more on the "stocky" side of the spectrum I think. :-)
Quinn's blondness isn't much of a mystery... he's the product of blonde doodle-on-doodle action. But here is Mom, both human and canine:

And Dad, who has a very cool black ear feather that Quinn did not inherit.

Quinn's cuteness is not much of a mystery, either!
Hi, Karen-

Nugget is classified as "Apricot Creme".....very light everywhere...esp after a bath! :-) Both of her dog parents (whom we met) were also apricot cremes. Since she's a multigen, I don't know if this is relevant info or not.

Have a good day.

S.
Susan, does Nugget have darker apricot fur on her back or near the base of her tail? Jack's almost platinum in some areas, but his bask, especially near his rump, is very deep reddish-apricot. I think I'll call him an "apricot creme", too, that sounds yummy! LOL
