My eighth graders are reading the Hunger Games this year in Literature, In the spring we are taking them on a field trip to see the movie. I decided to pick it up and start to read it early. Let me just say that I can not put it down! It is absolutely amazing.. a must read. It is a romance novel, an adventure, and a thriller all in one. The author really draws you in.

I have reserved the next two at my local library, but I dont know if I can wait a few weeks for them to be returned and for my turn to get them!

Any one else read this book?

Oh, now I can't wait to start mine on my Kindle. I downloaded them about 3 weeks ago cause a friend suggested them. Now I need to get going...lol
Yes, let me know what you think!
I have read all three multiple times, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Can't wait for the movie either.
Thanks, I can't wait to try it out.

I was dissapointed with the last book too... Def not as good as the first two!

I'll have to watch the trailer again to see who is playing Peeta..

I downloaded them to my Fire, then purchased the box set :)  I am obsessed. DH is actually reading the first and enjoying it immensely!  We are both going to see the movie!

Fantastic read for all ages! Loved it.

I read the first in the series and LOVED it. I just refuse to buy hardcovers so will have to wait until my store gets paperback editions before reading the others.  I am sad to hear that the last one is a disappointment.

I have read all three.  I thought the first was the best, but once you are hooked by the story, you have to read all three.  I hope we get to go see the movie tomorrow.

OMD!!!!!! I have read the series 5 times and i have read the other two books 6 times each.  i have seen the movie seven times too.

Hi Amanda,

I have the pdfs of books 2 and 3 if you're interested and don't mind the strain on your eyes. Let me know and I can send them to you!

I know I'm late to respond here but my daughter and her friends read these last summer (she is now a 7th grader).  Anyway, the girls planned a day to recreate their favorite scenes.  They all showed up at a nearby park with props and a video camera and had the best time.  Were you able to show the movie in class?
