All sound like interesting selections, thanks, Cheryl. The author of This is Where I Leave You seems to have a few good titles to choose from. I'm going to try to hit Barnes & Noble this wknd to thumb threw a few of these to see which grab me the most. I don't know which to chose - the ones that will keep me awake or those that will put me to sleep!!! 18 hours is a long flight......
I'm almost finished with Dog House by Carol Prisant. It's really wonderful.
I would recommend the Diana Gabaldon series. The first book is Outlander, and if you like historical fiction you will L-O-V-E this book! The first book is 600 pages and the others in the series are from 600 to 1000 plus pages. I recommend reading the first book first. It hooked me on the series. I realized in September that I watched NO television all summer. All I did was read this series!
Well this certainly fits the historical fiction bill! I checked out the reviews on both amazon and barnes and noble and have never seen SO many! Most are raves so sounds intriguing, v. interesting subject matter. I love books that become so real I start dreaming about the characters and this sounds like one I'd do just that....when I'm not dreaming of missing my doodle back home :-(
Have you read Pillars of the Earth? Wonderful
