We will be relocating to Corcoran, CA in August for a teaching job for at least a year. Would love to find some friends in the area. It is hard to find a home to rent in Corcoran, if anyone has a lead--please pass it along.

Wanda,  advice on keeping your doodle tangle free is worth its weight in gold!!!  I had a cocker spaniel that was always tangle/mat free but my pup fights brushing.  Even many of the professionals I've taken him to say they brushed him but he still has tangles.  His fur is extremely soft and curly.

Hi All!

I am moving to Bakersfield this month and looking for a good doggy day camp for my 16 month old 28 pound labradoodle.  Any suggestions?  I've looked online and can't get a good feel for any of the places I've seen.

We are fairly new it the fresno/clovis area and know there are other doodles out there!!!

Hi Jan,
Don't know what area of town you live in, but some of us use PetSmart grooming and seem to have good luck with them. They are good with the dogs and are pretty reasonable.

Oh I am so happy to see a group here in Fresno.  My husband and I have a Teddy bear goldendoodle named Dutch.  He is just turning five months old.  I have so many questions for those of you here in town.  Where do you get your dogs groomed?  Is there a park you could recommend for these dogs? ....Oh more later.  Luv Jan M.

We are on the central coast of California, just northeast of Monterey.  We have several activities in this area and are kind of the south end of the NorCal group.  I love Carmel (headed there today) and there is a poodle day for poodles and poodle mixes in Carmel on Oct. 5th.  If you can get over this way, they always have a playday at the beach after the parade.  The dogs are in costumes and groomed for the parade, but hang loose for the playday.  I always take photos at the playday and will do so again this year.  Hope to see you there.

Melody, that is the exact reason we moved to Fresno!  We wanted our children (5) to be raised here and it was the best thing we did!  We live at Fruit and Herndon, north of Herndon!  I was born and raised in South Gate and my husband lived in Montebello. As a teenager we spent many summers in Long Beach, Manhattan and Huntington Beach.  We do miss that part of So. Cal. Let's hope we can get our Doodles along with others together from Cen.Ca. together for some fun:)
