There are 3 Doodle puppies in a Lewisville, TX shelter who need help. I decided to post this to your group because the most immediate help for these puppies will come from someone already located in Texas. I realize Lewiswille is a distance from your area, but someone here may know someone closer who would be interested in one of these Doodles.

I have posted a link to their Petfinder listing below. The ad was posted by the All Texas Family Rescue as a courtesy (the rescue does not have room to take them in). All three are black and they were found as strays. They are five months old.

As the ad states, the Lewisville Animal Shelter is a kill shelter. The ad also states that the puppies were scheduled to be put down this past Wednesday. That is NOT the case. The puppies are still in the Lewisville facility and they are being moved to a no kill shellter in Carrollton. They are safe for now, however, they still need to be helped. They are fearful (but NOT aggressive), so they may easily be overlooked. I can imagine that it is critical they are socialized as soon as possible.

If anyone would wants to take a look at the puppies, the visiting hours at the Lewisville Animal Shelter are as follows (according to their website):

Monday - Friday 10am - 7pm
Saturday 1pm - 5pm

Lewisville Shelter's phone number is 972-219-3478 . The shelter is located at 851 Treatment Plant Road. Since they are moving the dogs to another shelter, I suggest confirming they are still located in Lewisville before visiting.

Our family was moved by these puppies in Lewisville....we live in Kyle. So, my daughter and I headed up there on Thursday morning....met our stinky boy (the first picture from the shelter pics) and drove straight back home. He was so scared, he wouldn't even move. Friday morning he was at the vet, checked out fine except for worms....which we have treated. Friday afternoon he was outside playing with my son, running, jumping, tugging on toys....giving kisses. It was hard to believe it was the same puppy. He was doing so incredibly well that I took him to a friend's house on Saturday morning and we gave him his fancy new haircut. He is amazing and we are all so blessed to have Fenway with us.

Hi Tricia,

So you are the individual that went to the shelter and adopted one of the puppies! Someone from IDOG told me that one of the puppies had been adopted directly from the shelter and that IDOG was placing the remaining two in foster homes. It is so nice to see him cleaned up and to know he is with a family who will love him and treat him well! He is beautiful! Congratulations!
There are updated pics on my page....but I guess I still need some even newer ones. He is awesome.....chews everything in sight.....but he is so dang cute that you can't stay mad at him!
The other two were picked up from the shelter the same day that I picked up Fenway. A rescue group in Carrollton took them. I know that one of them is already up for adoption. Fenway is such a lovebug I wish I could have taken all three! I hope to be in contact with the owners once they do get adopted.
Does anyone know how to get in touch with the rescue group in Carrollton? I would love to talk to them about the one that isn't up for adoption yet. Thanks!!
Leave a message on Tricia's page in case she doesn't get notified of your response here :)
Operation Kindness, most likely. I'm glad to hear that these 3 were taken care of!!!
