Hi Heather! I am just now getting one of Christy's doodles and the parents are Bella and Max! They were born June 2. I'd love to see pictures of Teddy!

Hi Everyone! I got my goldendoodle from Christy. Teddy was born at the end of Nov. 2010 and we took him home at the beginning of Jan 2011. I believe Teddy's parents are Max (a golden retriever) and Bella (a black standard poodle). Teddy is now 6 months old and weighs 37 pounds.

Teddy is super smart and loves both people and other dogs. He's our first dog but we've been told by many people and trainers that he has a great personality.

I would love to meet up with other goldendoodles, especially ones from Teddy's litter or the same parents. I know he had 8 other siblings. I'll look forward to reading about all the other doodles! -Heather

Hi Julie...Gracie is a very smart, sweet, goofy and silly girl.  She is just so much fun and so much a part of our family.  She is NOT a dog!!!  She is a very tall large girl and we love it that way.  Lots to hug and snuggle with.  When we got Gracie we would drive out to Christy's every weekend to visit her.  At that time she didn't have her fourth child.  But the kids were always right in there with the puppies and I think that was what made them so great.  We brought Gracie home at 6 weeks which many will be shocked by but she was weened and a lot of her siblings were leaving that same time.  They say they should stay with the litter until at least 8 weeks to get more socialization with her siblings but if they are gone...what is the point.  The mother had already been removed from the pen.  We have two neighbor dogs that at the time were 3 and 6 months and I knew they were safe so on the second day home with us they met Gracie and after that they had two play times a day for the entire summer.  It was the perfect way to socialize her without any fear of getting sick. I just read the last of your post.  I was out of town when DH went to see the puppies and they were like one week old.  Most of them were already reserved.  The next weekend after I got home we went back out and there were only two puppies available and both were males.  I really wanted a female.  But as we procrastinated each boy ended up getting spoken for.  We were so sad because we wanted a Doodle.  We went on a wait list for the next litter and got first pick.  But then Christy called me and said that someone withdrew their deposit and she thought the Doodle they had reserved was just what I wanted.  I had seen photos of her other pups when they were growing up and I knew exactly what I wanted and showed her.  She is pretty good at looking at a pup and tell you what it is going to look like.  We went out that following weekend and that was it...we were hooked on Gracie (and I got my girl).  I can't believe I was ready to settle for second best (in my book).  So I am not sure about the pick or how it is done.

Hi Nancie! Yes I think Dudley is still active. Christy told me that Bella is smart (and almost too smart, ha) and that Max is just goofy and lovable. Sounds like a great combo to me. I also love looking at the photos. They puppies look very loved with her children too.

How many weeks old were the puppies when you were allowed to make your pick?

Hi Julie...Welcome to the group. You are going to love your new baby!! My Gracie Doodle will be 4yrs. In a week on May 18th. Christy has used Gracie's photos in her web page from baby to adult. Gracie's mother has retired. She was named Roxy and was an apricot standard doodle. Gracie has a lot of her characteristics even though she is an f1. Her father is Dudley and I think he is still active. We have never regretted one minute of having our Gracie Doodle One Half Poodle! She is the best ever!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am currently waiting for a litter to be born late May/early June from Bella and Max. We live in Northern California but chose Christy's Goldendoodles because my aunt and uncle got their Cooper from her. This will be our first family pet and we are so excited. I am married with two boys 7 and 10 and a SAHM.

I am going bonkers just waiting for the pups to be born. But this awesome website has been super helpful with all kinds of information I need as a newbie dog mom.

I'd love to hear how your doodles are doing, especially if any are related to Bella or Max. We are looking for one of the creamier brownish colors, not the black or dark ones (just a preference). And it would be nice if we got a boy (for my hubby who wants a buddy) but we will be happy with whatever works as being the right puppy for us.

:)

Roxanne was Faith in the October 2007 liter.  We were lucky to find each other in San Francisco.  Faith was re-homed and renamed Roxanne.  I am looking for a puppy picture of Faith.  She is the best dog I have ever had!

I would love to but I will be in Boston that weekend.  Also, Eileen and Cody say the park is still closed and was pretty damaged from the rains.  I love that park and would take it over the Seal Beach park any day.  I hope we can schedule romps in the future once the park reopens.  I think we can have more than one romp...we are free to put together romps that are not at Seal Beach!  It is just such a long hike for some of us.  A good 1  1/2 hr for me and if there is huge traffic coming home even longer!  But I do enjoy the friends and Doodles there.
