Is there a way to have an updated list of stores, restaurants, transportation services (airlines, subways etc) that are updated frequently like Karen does with the food recommendations?

We have just spent two weeks in Flagler Beach FL.  We chose the town because they have Pet Friendly beaches.  They have been very pet friendly.  The majority of the restaurants that have patios allow dogs on their patios and bring them water bowls.

On a chilly afternoon last November, my sister and I stopped by The Wine Rack in Ventura, California.  The waitress saw my puppy and ushered us to a leather or leather-like sofa, which she described as a special place just for visiting dogs.  My puppy fell asleep on the sofa and my sister and I enjoyed a leisurely conversation over a glass of wine.  Special place!!!

Willow has a big case of "stranger danger" so we decided to get her a really nice dog stroller (AT3) for our trip to Santa Rosa, and around the wine country that we are taking in May. I have just started research as to where to stay etc. if anyone has any info, that would be great.

We have always vacationed in Carmel CA before and have always found it to be wonderful, and a very dog friendly town.

By the way, Willow seems to love her stroller.

Hi Tobey,Myself & DH Live on Manitoulin Island Canada....There are'nt very many places you can take your Doodle..2 Hr drive to Pet Smart..All though in a small town close by us Little Current there is a store called Turners which is like a small dept store who always has large bowls of water for dogs outside their doors on the main street, one day I was standing on the sidewalk waiting for DH who was inside shopping when the owner came out to checkout Tobey ,and invited us in there was no problem shopping with your pet...I was shocked but will always give my business to that store.....

I have a funny tale to add here. We live near Carmel CA and it truly is the most dog-friendly city that I know of. However, we decided to take our dogs to a little Mexican restaurant in San Juan Bautista CA (behind Salinas). It has a beautiful garden area and outdoor dining under umbrellad tables. We had seen dogs in the restaurant before and decided to give it a try. By the way, there are other animals wandering through the restaurant also. We took the dogs for a nice walk below the mission and through town and then went to the restaurant. We got a table for two with four chairs and sat one dog between us on each side. Hondo laid down nicely and Groucho Too sat up straight in his usual manner and was taking in everything. Little did we know he had his eyes on a cat lurking nearby. I went off to the outdoor bathroom to wash my hands and the cat split. Groucho Too couldn't resist and took off after the cat with his leash clanking along behind him as he jerked it away from my DH. This restaurant has hundreds (maybe thousands) of potted plants and Groucho Too got his leash wrapped around a large rose bush and was stopped in his tracks. When I came out of the bathroom, DH and the dogs are gone and another diner told me that the dog has chased a cat. I went back to the garden area and found them. My husband was so upset that he took the dogs directly back to the car and for the first time in his life he didn't feel like eating his Mexican food that night. I think it was the last restaurant Groucho Too will be taken into. Oh yes, and there was a harpist playing music as this litte scene unfolded. I get a chuckle every time I think of it, and my husband gets an upset stomach.

This is what the food at the Coachmen's Restaurant looked like also, although they used white rice!!! We were also greeted with water immediately and tiny hamburgers to "whet" their appetites! Would love to go to the Catskills!

Looks good enough to be people food!

The 2 pics below are from our trip to Last Chance Restaurant in Tannersville, NY.
They are an extremely dog friendly place - we did sit outside with Casper, and were met with a bowl of water for him as soon as we sat down. He had the Tail Waggin' Chicken - a grilled chicken breast served over wild rice...LOVED IT! The people food there is outstanding also - we go there every time we are in the Catskills!
