Forced Air Dryer

Has anyone purchased a forced air dryer? I just ordered one, but I haven't received it yet. I read that you shouldn't use a human hair dryer on dogs and if you do it should be on low. After I gave Darbey a bath last night and it took over 2 hours to get her dried, I got on the internet and ordered the dryer! Also, we will be traveling a lot this summer and staying at RV parks, one on the beach, and I wanted to be able to keep her dry. I'm also thinking of buying a Sham Wow. I bought a micro fiber dog towel at Petsmart, but is just got saturated when I tried to dry her with it. Any thoughts?

There is a difference between a high velocity 'blower' which has little heat and a hair dryer. I use both for grooming, but the blower is more useful for doodles. It is supposed to blow the water out of the coat as opposed to actually drying it.

have you gotten your dryer yet? I'm really interested in trying this method too. I've been using a human hair dryer (on cool and low) on Timbow and he doesn't mind it, but it still takes forever to get him dry! I know as his coat continues to thicken it will get worse. Let me know how this works for you!

I did get it a few weeks ago. I have only had a chance to use it once. It didn't work as well as I had hoped it would, although it is much faster than the hair dryer. She was scared of it because it was loud.
