Lucy's Late Summer Cut

I like posting pics of Lucy right after a groom. Usually, I do it to rant/vent about what was done WRONG. This time, however, I was very pleasantly surprised. NO complaints whatsoever. I took the 'Doodle Do' instruction sheet with me this time (I think I'd forgotten it the previous 2 times with this particular groomer), and specified 1" on the legs and 1/2" on the body. What I especially like is how the top of the head was cut. Not poofy at all. Lucy's gotten lots of compliments at the dog park we frequent, so I know its not just me. BTW, her leg is the way it is due to her having an IV a couple months ago. Here she is:

WOW she looks great & she looks so soft. I hope I don't sound silly asking this question. Is there different Doodle cuts for males & females?? I love Lucy's cut & I am a bit disappointed that every time I have taken Jindi to the groomer he never looks how I imagine him to look. I think he always looks like a poodle. Lucy's cut is how I want Jindi to look.

No, you don't sound silly! There is no difference between male and female doodle cuts, except for maybe in the sanitary area for obvious reasons. Have you tried taking the 'Doodle Do' instruction sheet with you, and if so, do you go over every single item with the groomer before the cut? I've found that just handing the sheets to the groomer isn't enough. They rarely read it all themselves. So if you take just a minute and go over each body area, and how you'd like it cut, it puts it fresh in the groomer's mind as they start. You may have to do this every single time you take Jindi to the groomer. Don't assume they'll remember the last cut. If they still can't get it, then changing groomers may be the next best move.
