Thank you so much for the update, Penny. We are praying for you and Mike and the doctors as they treat him. When we cannot pray God puts others in our lives to hold us up. May you feel the love of God in this very trying time.

Mike Update #2: He continues to do well. He will see the cardio dr. and the surgeon every other week. The surgeon thinks the surgery will be the week after Valentines Day....but everything hinges on how well his heart is healing from the heart attack. He is blessed to be in good hands....I am struggling with my faith right now....way to much has gone on in my life....so the strength of your prayers is greatly appreciated....will keep you posted....thanks again....

I'm reminded of that photo of Mike sleeping on the mattress on the floor every night beside Beemer when he had his hip surgeries and I'm sure Beemer would love to be repaying that right now! Please know that we are thinking of all of you in the days, weeks and months ahead as you take this Journey to recovery.

Mike Update: We have no information as of yet....the heart attack was severe and is not healing as quickly as they would like ( echo has been the same for 5 days, no change) SO they are up in the air as to when to do the open heart surgery. The surgeons at Central DuPage Hospital are consulting with Cleveland Clinic and are waiting for their opinion before proceeding. Mike's spirits are high. He is walking a lot...but is a bit (to say the least) anxious to see his puppy dogs!....If we do not hear from Cleveland by tomorrow, his surgeons are sending him home to heal his heart. This is a very risky decision. Thank you one and all for all your prayers....they have given us both strength to endure....I will keep you posted....blessings....penny
