I am putting together the Ohio Doodle Romp and am very excited! I have started gift bags as a first time thing since there has not been an Ohio doodle romp to my knowledge. I so far have donations from DogWatch, Fruitables, Healthy Paws, Pet Plan, waiting on Whimzees but so far so good!

Now here is my problem. Where do you usually hold doodle romps? Local dog parks? Private dog parks? Peoples home? Would love some suggestions on this!

Thanks in advance!

I will be following this closely...I am so impressed you have put together the goodie bags! What a fun idea! Also, I want to know when you schedule it because Ragley and I may have to plan to pass through town whenever the romp is going on!

That would be so fun! Thanks, just simple emails to
Companies!

Well, I am serious so let me know! I'm always looking for an excuse to drive up to Columbus!

I promise I will let you know!

Is it weird for me to be in TN and be excited about the Ohio romp?

Seems perfectly normal to me :)

GBK in Las Vegas organizes a romp once a year.  You could go to her page and ask her how she plans things.  I do know she makes bandannas for all the dogs, has 'treat bags' for each family that RSVPs - drop ins or last minute attendees are welcome, they just don't get a treat bag. She also has several baskets filled with goodies that are raffled off.  The romp is held at one of the dog parks - I don't know if she reserves a space or not.

Thanks Nancy! I will go send her a message!

Any progress, Brittney? I'm thinking of organizing a romp for September and make it a "Ragley's Birthday Bash" romp...I'm making you my #1 advisor lol

I cannot seem to reply to you directly! Anyways, I am finding it very difficult because every venue I tried is either a very public dog park or break the bank expensive to rent for a few hours. I just ran an idea by the Ohio doodle romp Facebook group and see what they say! I would offer my own three acre back yard but unfortunately it is an electric fence not a physical one! I hope you have more success than I do finding a place! Cincinnati is just not a widely popular dog friendly place so you do not have many options!

Working on Ragley's birthday romp! I have donations so far from Tropiclean, Benebone, and Himalayan dog chew for goodie bags and/or raffle baskets to benefit DRC. Have yet to hear from whimzees or fruitables. When you emailed dogwatch and the insurance companies, did you ask for anything specific or just general donations?

I just asked for any kind of pamphlets that you have so I can provide for a doodle romp. I also said how important I think insurance is and want to give my friends the oppurtunity to have a look at them. For fruitables and Whimzees I just asked if they had any sample size bags that they would be willing to donate!
