I am planning a Romp in Sept and I am getting excited.
I am planing on making treats and putting together a Door Prize.
The romps that I am aware of in NS were an annual event so I am working to change that.
Chester met a best Buddie at the one we went to in June. I think it is a great way to connect with local Doodle owners.
I have been trying to recruit locals to DK..
Does anyone go to local pet food stores to see if anyone will donate items for a door prize? I figure they might see this as an 'advertising opportunity' or have some items from Vendors. Is there anything you wouldn't put in a donation bag ?Although I wasn't sure if this is acceptable with so many puppies in need.
I will also have to rent a park so I am going to ask for donations- and donate any extras..
Any specific activities you would suggest??

I do go to local stores. Often they provide a goodie basket to use for our raffles. Sometimes they give me freebies like measuring cups, pens, magnets, etc. Usually they will also donate sample bags of dogfood and coupons. Emergency clinics usually have some advertising freebies. I make a goodie bag to give each participant as they leave the event. (I do not want the food/ treats in the dogplay area) My vets office usually has advertising freebies from their venders to donate. I stuff the bags with brochures and other info provided. In my area a local doggie daycare boarding facility donates the space we use as advertising too. There is a new doggie party planner in my area, I plan to invite them to set up games or a booth or something at our next romp. It's alot of work to coordinate this but fun too!
Where is this Doggie party planner that is in your area? Are they on facebook and if so how do I look them up.
Thanks.
