Is there still a doodle romp on Sunday?

Hi everyone! We live in Darien, Illinois and have a Labradoodle that we got in December. He is almost four months old and we are, of course, in love with him!!! Cool that there's an Illinois Doodle Group!

If you cut and paste the link shown below into your browser, you can get directions to the dog park.

Joan, the maps, links, etc., won't post here in the comments section...they have to be in a discussion.

I just posted this in the event section--but for all you Illinois doodle lovers, thought I would add it here also.
Join us for our monthly doodle romp at the fully fenced 60+ acre dog park in Wauconda, IL this Sunday, Jan. 25 at 10 a.m. Weather should be sunny and 10 degrees for all you hardy doodle owners, friends of doodles, prospective doodle families. And it's beautiful out there with all the snow!
If you have any questions—or any e-mail addresses to be added to the monthlylistserv, please contact us at charli594@comcast.net. Cut and paste the link below for directions to the park, located at Fairfield Road and Rt. 176 in Wauconda.

The park does charge, but there is a convenient self serve kiosk in the parking lot to buy daily permits for the park. Daily permits for Lake County residents-$5 per dog. Out of county residents are $10 per dog. Exact cash or check is required, and you will receive a permit to put in your car's visor. Daily or annual permits are also available online here: http://www.lcfpd.org/preserves/index.cfm?fuseaction=preserves.viewActDetail&object _id=130

I hear you....it's still falling here in Bartlett.....Comiskey has decided she can lift her leg (oh so delicately) to go pee pee....and it appears that we now have a "Poop Deck" (although we do not have a boat!)....pretty easy....she does it....and I go grab it with the pooper scooper....a quick bagging and we're done.....but I do have to say...it's hard to get her back in the house....snow seems to be the ultimate play ground....stay warm..

I had to shovel out my yard as well; we have about a foot of snow, more falling, and temperatures are supposed to drop to a HIGH of 0!! Jackdoodle doesn't like to poop in the yard...when we take walks, he backs up to a snow mound, and I swear it looks like he's sitting on a toilet! LOL! My daughter says we should try toilet training him! maybe we should, because I'm not going walking tonight with a windchill of -20 degrees predicted!

I also had to shovel an area for Halas to do his business. He doesn't seem to mind peeing in the deep snow, but he doesn't like to poop in it. We got about 6 inches of snow here, and it's still coming down. Halas loves to stick his head into the snow to see what's at the bottom. I keep telling him there's more snow or the ground at the bottom, but he still keeps checking. It's so fun to watch them. I have a pair of snowshoes, so I may put them on and take Halas out to the big field behind our condo to play tonight.

Lots more snow coming down today, Taffy is loving it. She is trying to find a good spot to go potty- so I shoveled a trench around the yard for her to use. When she does her business she takes off and plays in deep parts of the yard. She is having a ball. Now the kids just wish they had a snow day to play in it too.
