This is Georgie the double doodle, we’ve had him a week. Our previous dog was a labradoodle ( still miss him, he was the best dog ever) He seem like he will be a wonderful pet also.2713BC57-CFE0-42FB-BE47-5364CC7DA254.jpeg

We have an F2 labradoodle and we bred her with an F1 Goldendoodle.  She had 8 puppies a year ago and we kept one.  Here are the pictures of her puppies.  We kept one, and we see 4 of them regularly.

Does anyone have a double doodle that has straight short hair? and SHEDS like no other dog I've had.1

Hi, has anyone had any issues with teary eyes in your puppy? We went today to see ours (7weeks old) and she has wet streaks down her cheeks. The breeder said it's probably teething, a lot of the pups did. Thanks for any input, not sure if it's something we should be concerned with or not.

Ah!  I found an outdoor one from his first week with me that shows how straight his coat was at 8 weeks.  It is super soft with no kink in it at this point.

And here is a comparison of him at 10 weeks vs 20 weeks.  His hair didn't start getting more curly until about 8 months old and it was super easy to comb until then.  Now I have to come him about 4 days a week to make sure he isn't matting much.  (He didn't start matting until 10 months old when he got a rough housing sister!  He started having a few mats a few weeks before she arrived, but her wrestling and slobber made it worse.)

Kona had about the straightest coat of all 10 puppies.  The breeder advised me well to not be too drawn to the curly babies because they would have a harder coat to maintain later in life  I'll look for a few photos.  At 5 weeks there was a very small wave in it.  At 8 weeks, it was a sweet little loose curl/wave.

Gwynodlyn, what did Konas coat look like when he was 8 weeks? (If you remember) I like his coat and don't want too curly. We have our selection in a week and am trying to educate myself:) Thanks

Every doodle I've met is cute.  :-)  Kona is a cuddle bug and lap dog and immediately seeks out laps and kids everywhere he goes.  He is still considered a miniature since he is slightly under 17 inches tall at the top of the shoulder (16 3/4") but he doesn't FEEL very mini with his 25 to 27 pound body.
