Oh Bonnie...

Owen is getting as much training as he can at this point...and I think your daughter is doing an amazing job...especially considering all that she is going through!

We can only do the best we can...depending upon the circumstances that we are going through...and it sounds like you have a Wonderful family...who works together...to help out during the "hard times"!!  It's really good that your DH takes the doodles out for exercise...that's so good for them!  He sounds like a Great guy!!

If Owen ever goes through a time when he needs a little extra traiing ...I'm sure that your DH would be able to take him ..or...did you know that hey have trainers that come to your home??

Something like this Would make it easier for everyone..instead of having to drive somewhere and be in a place with flourescent lighting and lots of sound and people...etc...(just a thought)

Don't worry about venting my friend...

We're here to help... support and encourage one another...

I hope you and your daughter are having a good day today...

Great Big Doodle Hugs from Sasha and Me...

By the way everyone, Susan has been a caring and empathetic friend with her ideas of how to help our migraines. It is wonderful to be part of this group.

Hi, I should probably write a blog but don't want the whole site to see this. I'm just musing about how hard it is to spend time training our doodle when we are so sick. Owen is a handful but he is getting much better every month. Our daughter loves to train dogs. She has him in CGC class now after his beginner class. She has managed to struggle through the hour every Monday evening even with her migraine! She really loves it, and Owen does too! He is the best boy in class. Sadly, he gets very little training outside of class because both of us are in bed so much of the time. My DH exercises the dogs but is not a trainer. Just feel like venting some of my discouragement someplace. We can do sit stays and come and those kinds of things but he just isn't getting out into the world.

Just wondering if any of you have this struggle, too and how you deal with it..

I hope everyone has a restful July 4th weekend.  Pace yourselves and enjoy...

Putting yourself first is difficult. I am stuck in doing that now and then I resent my caregivers for having to look after me! But pacing yourself is key to any illness and I am really trying to get into the swing of that again. I do think it helped in the last couple of weeks and it also allowed me to partake in other activities that if I had of pushed myself through to get the other stuff done I wouldn't have been able. SO my advice to everyone including myself is pace yourself. Take breaks and try to enjoy them. So here's to break time! Take care everyone!

I am so sorry you guys for not responding, I thought since I formed the group I would get  updates when someone posted????? Guess not I was on Susan's page and I saw that she posted on here. LOL and then I came on here to see a whole bunch of stuff.. I will check in more often.

I am glad that you found us Susan, I am not sure I ever told you about the group or not, I should have, but anyway, you definitely can be helpful for managing migraines!!!!

Bonnie, we all have different things we have to deal with, different disease, different pains, different disappointments but as human beings I think we can be compassionate toward each other. Anyone suffering is suffering period.

I am having a few issues right now and it is really, really hard for me to put me first, in fact I failed miserably at it this weekend, I was having horrible stomach pain for the past week, Friday after I dropped the baby off that I was watching I went to the urgent care, (not something I do to often) I had a catscan which showed my diverticulitis was infected... No wonder if felt like I got hit with a baseball bat in my stomach. I did not even let them give me pain medications because I didn't want to bother anyone for a ride home, then because of my lungs reacting to everything these days, my airway started having issues and I couldn't stop coughing, I had to leave or I would have ended up in resp distress. So what do I do, I go home.. instead of staying home and resting the weekend like I really needed to do, I went ahead with my plans with my mother to go to Hilton Head so I would not disappoint her, she was so disappointed that I might not be able to go.. Uggg...

Anyway, Loraine and anyone else who feels "responsible' for passing a gene or a sickness on to their child, I really wanted to address that, I have two genetic diseases, one of them is life shortening at best. My parents carry the genes that gave me that disease. In no way shape or form are they even remotely responsible for any of my disease. I don't blame them, be grudge them or even associate them to it. I hope and pray that you realize anything that you passed on to your children is not your fault, That is a burden that alone will make you sick, so dump it and know it is not your fault.

I hope everyone has a healthy week and I am sorry I have to be better about checking on here.. I have been just getting by the past several weeks..

Hi Lorraine...

I'm so happy that Bonnie and I were able to connect a few times already and share with one another.

I've learned so much about Doodles on DK...and now it's great to connect with others and share advice and experiences that can be helpful in other areas too.

Oh I hope Bonnie and Susan can share and something good come of it. Then our little doodlekisses group would be bona fide!
