Flower Pot Cake

I believe I discussed this cake with some of you DK-ers during yappy hour a while back. I originally intended on making it for Easter but later decided to do it for mother's day. Well, my parent's 25th anniversary was also this week so I made it as a joint mother's day, anniversary cake. 

 

I also intended on making the flowers out of gumpaste but unfortunately life got in the way and I didn't have time. These are real flowers, and the cake is the flower pot. The "dirt" is oreos crumbled. Not sure how relevant it is to post here, but I wanted to follow up on the advice I received, and it is a flower pot after all.  :-)

No, it's all one color of fondant. I think it's just shadow that makes it look like that.
