What is your favorite rose?

I am looking to replace one of my red roses - anyone have a favorite that is disease resistant?  I am also looking for a special climber. 

My all time favorite rose is "Marilyn Monroe" hybrid tea rose.  It is a beautiful creamy apricot.

I love your favorite although I haven't seen it in person. My favorite roe is John F. Kennedy. The plant is a nightmare. The leaves are not lovely in the best circumstances and every disease known to plantdom bothers this rose. It's not reliably hardy here either so I keep it n a pot and overwinter it in the garage. It's not even prolific in terms of flowers. But the rose itself is gorgeous and the smell is divine. This is not my picture.

Yes, I know!  It has a beautiful white bloom and I had one for one summer.  I hate to use pesticides, so I just dug it up and gave to a friend!

My favorite rose is the cabbage rose. I know nothing about it, other than it's pretty. :-)

Wow, Camilla - it almost looks like a peony!  I looked this one up because I think it is so pretty.  Here is what I found:  It is a beautiful shade of deep pink, 3 1/2" cupped cabbage shaped, old fashioned, very double blooms (centifolia means 'hundred petaled') are blessed with a strong heady perfume. They are produced on a somewhat arching plant with grey-green leaves.  Originated in The Netherlands before year 1500.  Has a fully double bloom and gets about 6 feet tall by 4.  I may try this near a trellis I have.  It is very fragrant!

Roses!  Just stumbled upon this discussion.  I took these last week and didn't know what to do with all of them. I do not know the names but this is my office.  This building, an old home, has had these roses for many years.  Really?  How long does a rose bush live?  Dunno.  But ENJOY

these roses are absolutely beautiful.  I love the lavender one.  I just saw one of those at the greenhouse the other day and it smelled so sweeetttt!  Your phone takes terrific photos.

Thanks. I love the lavender one the most, although I like the photograph the least!  I could not capture the beauty but it was the first one I was attracted to.

My phone did not take these pictures. I take my camera to work sometimes and keep it in my car.  It is a beautiful place and lots to photograph.

I also could not capture the beauty of a pure white rose. Stunning.  It is not included here.

Beautiful roses.  How nice to have such beauty around while at work!!  Just love the pink and red one.  I love roses and we do plant some but they only do o.k.
