Thanks,  Nancy .

Beautiful pictures!  Before I changed my garden mainly over to perennials, I usually planted a big raised bed around my deck full of zinnias.  I especially liked it in the fall.  Every time that I went out the back door, a flock of goldfinches would scatter!  For perennials that are colorful for a long time, I like yarrow and lythrum.

Thank you.  I keep several spaces in my perennials for zinnias for cut flowers and for the birds.

Echinacea is a perennial that also attracts goldfinches and  butterflies, (and hummingbirds and hummingbird moths too, at least in my garden) , and it blooms for a long time, too.

The goldfinches and other small birds have stripped my echinaceas of seeds.

And that's how you get more, lol. A lot of them fall to the ground.

Yep!  : )
