Hi Jill
Zak's mom is a parchment phantom and his dad is lavender. Both those colours start out chocolate and develop over time. His mom was lighter at his age and his dad a bit more chocolate at 10 months, so I would say he might be a light cafe with light highlights. He will be 2 before we really know. Good to hear from you. Check out Nancy's page [click on one of her comments]. She has lots of good pictures of Zak's mother.

Thanks so much for the positive comments - I was feeling like I had butchered his fur. He is so nervous, I can only trim a bit at a time. I'll attach a "before" picture. I have been cutting away his beautiful creamy fleece! But I like the curls underneath. This picture of pearl looks so much like her son - Hugo just has more pale apricot around his ears and mouth. Otherwise, so similar. He also is still around the 40lb mark. Maybe he won't be much bigger.
