Sadie is now 8.5 months old. She had a bladder infection when she was 5 months old and was on antibiotics for a month. Occasionally she will have a passive pee when she meets someone for the first time but those have gotten fewer and fewer.

This is something different. Sadie seems to be peeing on herself when she is outside playing and in her sleep when she naps during the day.  She comes in and I can see the urine on the back of her legs and around her vagina.

I am now realizing that what I thought was sweat when she is napping is likely a small amount of urine leaking. I am concerned that it could be another infection or something to do with her early spaying.

If anyone has experience with this type of incontinence in puppies please let me know. This is not a potty accident. There are no puddles in the house but I can clearly see and smell the urine on her legs and the back of her tail. When she gets up from napping I noticed what I thought was sweat but it may well be a small amount of urine leaking out during sleep but not enough to puddle.

We wash our sheets and blankets every week. I have never found urine in our bed or in her crate. This seems to occur more when she is running around the yard playing with Skye. I have been cleaning her bottom and legs when it happens to try and keep her from getting another urinary tract infection.

I can't think of what else it could be. Her stools are firm. She eats well. She is on a diet of chicken, green beans, carrots and yams mixed with TOTW kibble.

We will see the vet tomorrow.

Keeping good thoughts for the vet visit tomorrow.

It still could be a UTI or it could be incontinence. Good luck with the vet.

Luna used to pee herself in her sleep on occasion.  It resolved itself by the time she was about 1.5 and she now has a champion iron bladder!

Good luck tomorrow, I will be watching for an update.

Good luck, keep us posted!

How did the vet visit go?

Sounds, overall, like good news.  I hope it all goes away and stays away!

I hope the meds work.

Thanks for updating us. Please continue to do so.  I hope the meds work for her.

That' stood news. What a cutie she is.

Great news!

Sandy fou Sandy, Hattie and Theo has dealt with this. You might want to contact her.
