Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Looking for a 2 to 4 year old doodle.  We are a dog loving family of four.  With a fabulous 1/2 acre fenced back yard.  We did it so our children and small dogs could be safe so no holes and no escapes.  Until recently, we had two bichon frises recently gone to "doggie heaven" due to old age.  The girls are 3 1/2 and 5 and are respectful and kind towards dogs.  I am a SAHM but don't have time to train a puppy.  Due to extended family, we have to have a non-shedding dog that is on the hypoallergenic list.  We looked into the guardian situation with a couple of breeders but did not find a match due to ages of dogs.   We would prefer a smaller sized doodle up to 40 lbs.  Looking for a sweet, active disposition.  Would like a running buddy for me and a dog to play ball with the girls. The bichons always slept with me but would be nice to have crate trained this time.

Sex of the dog doesn't matter EXCEPT I do have young girls so if it's a male, he needs to not be a real "stud" so some of the male breeders wouldn't work.   Would be open to a guardian situation, rehome a dog, or a  retiring breeder.  Our dogs have always been spoiled family members.  Vet, groomer and doggie friend references available.   We miss having a four legged family member.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Victoria
May I suggest you give some way for people to contact you.
Hi Victoria! Your family sounds wonderful. I have Maggie, a retired breeder that is available to go to a new home. She has been with me since she was 8 weeks old and has given us beautiful puppies. She is a people lover, but her affection for other dogs is pretty much limited. :) Temperament wise, she is everything you desire. She's a fleece coated F1, meaning she sheds very minimally and will not leave hair around your house. With regular brushing she is as non shedding as a doodle can be. She is not hypoallergenic, however. Are the extended family members frequent visitors to your home?

Maggie is 4 1/2 years old, but her energy level is as healthy as a 2 year old. She loves to run, fetch and play. We had a large party over the weekend and she was in the fenced yard that is near our people yard. There were kids throwing her ball for her and she would bring it back and toss it through the fence for them to do throw it again. She's very talented! :) She is 24" tall and 60 lbs, so a bit larger than you requested, but honestly a larger dog is probably going to make a better running partner for you if you're at all open to that.

I am located in Central Washington state and I'd be more than happy to arrange a visit with you. Maggie is fully health tested and is a perfectly healthy dog. She has already been spayed and has a microchip. She's never been sick, her only vet visits have had to do with pregnancy and she's always recovered quickly after whelping. She is loved by everyone who meets her and I have several friends that want her...they just don't have the right situation for her. I'm just waiting for the perfect family that lives close enough to me to come along and give her a great life.

Please visit my website for more information about Maggie. Feel free to email me if you have questions.

Oh, and I forgot to say Maggie will try and steal your bed...but she is crate trained. ;)
I have an almost-two year old male Australian that we held for breeding who will not be large enough, my grandson named him 'Doggie". He was born at our home and has Rutland bloodlines. He is a mini, apricot/creme, curly wool non-shedding coat, is hypoallergenic, crate and housetrained. Doggie has not gone running, but with his appetite for fun he will be glad to learn I'm sure! He has been around children his whole life, will need to be neutered but we will take care of that before he leaves. He loves people and we have been hoping for a very caring new family for him, it's hard to have a dog for a couple of years then try to think about rehoming them. If you would like to talk over more details, please let me know, thanks very much!
