Name for number 2

[Helga, Nimbus, Sierra, Clooney]

In just 2 days we are going to pick up our 2nd puppy. It is going to be a red or apricot male F1b mini to medium Goldendoodle.

I have tons of awesome names on my list, but my kids are being difficult.

Now I am looking for inspiration here. I'm adding pictures of my 2 favorites.

Oh my Dog, these pups are darling.  Hard to choose, I'm sure.  About names, how about another cloud name - Stratus or Cumulus, something like that.  Lenticular may be a little too out there.  We named our goldendoodle Groucho Too because his father was Groucho and he looked just like his father.  Then our next dog was Harpo and our latest dog is Zeppo.  I am getting a sheepadoodle next year and may call him Chico (a Marx brothers theme going there).  So, I don't know how you came up with Nimbus, but you may get some kind of theme going there.

Thanks, Lynda! I don't really want a theme. Nimbus came at first from fluffy and white, like a cloud. But Nimbus is also a broom of Harry Potter's. My kids had suggested Firebolt, which is another of Harry Potter's brooms. However, I am not really a fan, and I am going to be the one who most hangs out with the dog.

I like the idea of Native American or Hawaiian names. Anything that means "red" or "fire" in other languages.

Also, I decided not to pick a name with the same ending sound. We had a foster for a little bit who's name was Argus. Even though that doesn't sound too similar, Nimbus still got confused at times.

My favorite names are 

VEGAS  BANJO  ZUMA  ECHO  SACHI ZION  CANNON  CANYON and CLOONEY.

Of those, my daughter only kind of likes Zion and Banjo.

Ha, somebody else is up working on a special interest this time in the morning.  Doodle kisses is a great place to peruse when you need some entertainment at night.  You have a lot of great favorites and I'm sure when you get that puppy something will just seem to fit.  I take it you are tending toward the red pup.  Sochi comes to mind for me and it would be nice calling "Sochi, Nimbus!"

Yes, I want the red one. The other one is cute, too, though. But we only get 3rd pick, and the other 2 are curly. I don't want curly, so hopefully the two ahead of us do. What does Sochi mean?

We went through a lot of "red" names before we chose Penny.  Now we call her Pumpkin a lot which fits too.

HOWEVER, when I saw the title of your thread, I thought you wanted a name for "Number 2".  Maybe something more polite than "poop".  LOL!

Helga, they are both adorable!  Perhaps a weather name, although the one with lots of white just looks like a Caramel to me. Nah, weather!  Here are some wind names:  Sahara, Sirocco, Mariah, Zephyr, Mistral.  I just saw your favorites.  I like them all putting Zuma, Echo, and Clooney at the top of your list.  PS, my favorite of the two is the darker red one. I just like the face and build a bit better.

Thanks, Nancy! But I don't want to go with a theme. I guess we'll just have to keep him nameless until we know what he's like.

Everything changed, hahaha, because we got a girl! And we decided to name her Sierra. It was love at first sight between her and Nimbus. He is so incredibly gentle with her.
