So I am all set to pick up Moose (doodle 2) in two weeks! Someone suggested in a Puppy Madness discussion bringing Loki (doodle 1) with us when we pick up Moose that way they can get acquainted. My mom and I are driving together and they breeder lives about 4-4 1/2 hours away so the big road trip is the current plan. Any suggestions? I mentioned bringing Loki, they are both from the same breeder, and she thought that seemed like a good idea but was just concered that it would be a long car ride for two dogs. Thoughts? Loki does fine in the car and is around puppies constantly at dog parks and day care so I'm not worried about him and from what I'm told Moose is very mellow as well.

Any other tips would be great too! Loki is my first dog so this will be the first time I have two and would love all the help I can get!

Congrats on getting another doodle. I always take a dog with me when getting a new one. Will you have a crate to put put in if he/she gets nervous? What a fun adventure! Welcome to multiple doodle land! :)
Should I bring a crate? My plan was to either A) sit in the back seat with Loki and hold the new puppy, Moose, on my lap or if they needed some space or if Moose was getting upset or nervous I was just going to sit in the front seat and keep Loki in the back seat. I also plan to take Loki to daycare the day before to make sure he's good and tired :)

When we picked up Ned we didn't take our other dogs. We took a crate but Ned cried so he spent the trip either on a towel on my lap or right behind my seat on a towel.  He still loves to lay on the floor right behind the passenger seat.

Oh that's cute! I didn't have a crate when I picked up Loki. He jut sat on my lap and that worked out pretty well.
