I don't know this cause I don't know how to re-size other than e-mailing it to myself with the Mac option of 'small.'  I know Nancie Casey used to re-size her photos to fit - hopefully she will remember.  I do remember that people have discussed this and done lots of experimenting.

 Thanks Nancy, It's my own photo I am using so I can resize it to what ever I need, do you have any idea what size photo makes it tile across the page so that it comes out evenly.

Donna if you want the sides to be the same size you have to change your theme.  That is one of the basic components of the different themes.  If you want a downloaded picture to tile correctly and you have re-sized it, I do not know how to fix that.  If you go to a site like glittergraphics you can use their backgrounds for your sides.

Donna, I think it just sort of tiles across so you don't have the option to fill each side with pictures.  It is just random luck if both sides sort of look equal and that would depend on the size of the photo...trial and error.  Nancy (Ned & Clancy) really knows this stuff so hopefully she will come on and help you out.  I haven't changed my page in almost 2 years because I can't remember how I did it...ha ha.  I know some of the things you want to do depend on which template you use.  Did you go back and read all the older comments and questions?  It seems this has been addressed before but over a year ago.  Good Luck...sorry I am of no help...hugs to Quincy!

Does anyone know how to get both sides of the page the same, I can get one side to look fine but the other side always has half the picture. I've tried using different sizes of photos but no luck. Keep in mind that I am computer challenged and know nothing about codes.

Okay then, change your theme preference.  Some of them have different options or limitations.  You will not lose your information or photos but you will lose the background, fonts etc that you have - but then you can just change them again.  I really like the them I have because the body can be made transparent and I can put a background and sides all in one piece.

Thanks Nancy, but no luck. However, inserting an image in the body, saving it then deleting it did the trick. Guess it just needed a kick start!

Sally, try choosing the transparent option for things like subheader, status and see if that takes the white away.

Tweaking my page here and there and have finally added a color to the center background. Starting with a calm yellow. However, it doesn't cover all of the center. Portions along the top and side are still white. Anyone care to take a look and tell me what YOU see? Is the yellow completely covering the center background?

Yea!  I am glad you figured it out.  Most times it is a matter of trial and error, but it helps so much if you have a clue to get you over the hump.
