Oops, I meant in the spring, not in the fall! Some of the beaches allow dogs during the off season, and that starts mid May in most places!

Hi! I just moved back home from California! I would love to try to get together for a romp. I'm a grad student at URI, but I would be willing to drive just about anywhere for a romp. I used to drive an hour to get to a beach with Napa, and an hour and a half to get to the romp we were closest to in CA.

I had been wanting to try to contact breeders who have sold puppies in the area and see if any of the breeders would help get doodles together in the area. But, time has just flown this semester!!!

I'd also like to see if, in the fall, we could try to find a dog friendly beach! If you see the New Jersey groups' pictures of their beach romps... It looks like TONS of fun!!!

Is there renewed interest and people in the New England area with Doodles? Let's try getting this group off the ground with a get together. I am from Rhode Island..tell where you are from and let's find a mid point for a get together romp.

I live just over the border from New England in upstate NY near Great Barrington, MA. My doods are from Otis, Mass., and there is a great breeder there. I tried to arrange a doodle romp thru this site a few weeks ago for those of us in the area around the CT/MA/NY border at a dog park in No. Egremont, MA. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Hi Joanna. There are many breeders in the New England area. Are you looking for yourself? What kind of doodle, labradoodle/goldendoodle? What size range? Any particular color?

I recently took Cooper to a dog park in Concord, NH, and it was great! Probably about an acre, fenced with separate areas for large and small dogs. Lots of parking and benches, and about 8-10 dogs there on a Sunday afternoon. Are there any other doodles in this area that would be interested in playing? Cooper hasn't been around other doodles since I got him, but I think he'd love to get to play with other pups "on his level" haha. It's right off of Exit 13 in Concord, at Terrill Park. Let me know if anyone's interested!

I don't know Sue, but Scooby came from Kathryn Lee in Rhode Island (Make Way for Doodle Kennel). In fact, he was from her first litter of Doodles, so she has been breeding them for 6 years. Good luck! - Serena

Hi fellow doodle lovers!
We're going to be getting some rescue doodles up to New England soon!! There's 3 1-2 yr Female LDs coming from Arkansas, from another rescue group. Also IDOG rescued a litter of black miniLD 6 wk old pups from a high kill shelter in TX. Once they've been quarantined successfully, they're heading up here. Also, IDOG has had a TON of doodles in Texas with very few applicants. So we'll be moving at least one in the next couple of weeks up to Maryland/DC area or New England. Keep your fingers crossed. I'll be sure to post pictures.
Liz
