Help, my daughters 10 month old has chewed her second collar off while in her crate. She goes in great, has a kong filled and toys....she doesn't know what to do! Any suggestions?

I'm confused. How could she possibly reach her own collar while she is wearing it!?! Is it very loose?

Take the collar off before putting her in the crate.

Kate, you are the voice of reason. I feel dumb now. Lol!!
Have no idea, she is Houdini! My daughter comes home and the collar is chewed in half laying in the crate!

I never used a collar in a crate... very dangerous ! Please let her know that !

I sure did not know this when I got Violet

My 6th month old puppy Ellie has been through three collars. I take it off but unfortunately my husband and kids forget sometimes. Almost want to put a camera to figure out how she does it! Best to just take it off!

Agree, the collar should be removed before putting her in the crate, especially if it's the metal wire type of crate.  The collar can get caught and dogs have hanged themselves trying to get unstuck.  Sorry for the horrible image :( but it's a real danger.

Take off her collar?

If it's loose enough , that she can get her teeth around/ through it, it could be very dangerous for her. Strangulation is very possible. Take the collar off?
