Charlie is very high energy and loves to run all over the house, but twice already has he hit his head, and I'm worried about it (or just being paranoid lol).
The first time he was playing and rolled onto his back quickly and he hit his head on the floor. He yelped and was startled, so I just held him until he was okay and he continued playing. Then today he ran really fast and smacked his head on the table; I've never heard him cry so loud. Again, he was startled so I held and kissed him for a few moments until he pushed off to play again.
I'm sure he's fine but I'm just worried... I guess this is normal, it probably happens to other pups. I just felt so bad for him! lol.

LOL...I was actually kidding when I first mentioned the helmet idea....then I thought about it. I figured there just HAD to be something out there! ;)
Hi, Gussie is 5 months now, but a month or two ago he ran across the deck to come in the house and slammed into the sliding glass door. He went flying back off the steps, but got up and ran in. I don't think he's any worse for the wear and it never happened again. I think it's just the puppy learning curve.
George did the same thing a couple months ago..never again though...
The same happened here as well, only Oscar ran into the door screen. He was running at a good clip when he hit it and rebounded pretty good off of the screen (I'm pretty sure it happened with Lucy too, years ago). Now, I've noticed he'll stop before going out or coming in to check that its all clear and open. That's one mistake that doesn't happen twice.
If I had a nickel for every time Ragley has hit her head on things (chairs, tables, walls, etc), I would be making enough money to fund her food expenses. Seriously. I have to remind her all the time to have a little more spacial awareness about her head lol
Oscar was/is always the one hitting his head here. He actually put a good size dent in the drywall in the upstairs hallway after bashing his head into it while playing with Lucy. He's not very coordinated, unfortunately. It never seems to phase him, though (no yelping or anything... sometimes he'll stand still for a moment afterward like he's taking in what just happened - and maybe it hurts!). Funny about the helmets made for dogs. What was really funny to me was that they're made for cats too. Now that is something I'd like to see!
:-) I think it's just getting used to their rapidly growing bodies. Zoe was so gangly because she shot up so fast she would trip and stumble constantly. She'd go running at full speed and her legs would get ahead of her and then - head over heels - all the time! She once cracked an electrical panel in our wall stumbling into it. I wouldn't worry - Charlie will be fine!!
