I have an adorable six month old labradoodle that loves to get up on my counters and my desk and tips how to break this bad habit ?

so it goes in Miss Bea's life , as long as she can see the cookie sheet  she doesn't get up there ... she is so smart and rotten * I guess I'll buy about 3 more cookie sheets and leave them on my counters until hopefully she will forget that fun sport :)

I talked yesterday to our trainer about counter surfing and he said I could blow up balloons, pop a few in front of Miss Beasley and she wont like the loud sound, then I need to tape them around my counter and desk and leave them, after a while to remove every other one and in time she will stop getting up there. He said dogs are creatures of habits and in time she will forget about doing it ! I'll be trying it,  right now she won't get up there as long as I have the pans on the counters ...

Interesting! Somehow, seeing cookie sheets on the counters seems more in context with a kitchen than balloons, but whatever works (it would never have worked for me, as our cockatoos, whose cages are off the kitchen, will scream bloody murder nonstop at the sight of a balloon - they hate them)! Yes, they do lose interest in the counters after a period of time (way longer than I was comfortable with!). Its just another one of those phases.
