I can not say enough GOOD things about Pet Plan. I have personally reviewed all the plans that I could find, for me Pet Plan Gold was the one I chose. I have a $50.00 deductible per illness. Emergency care has no deductible.
In the two yeas I have had Jack, I have already gotten five years of premiums from them. They are incredible fast to refund you as well. I fax them the bill and usually have a check within three to four days.
They have never turned down any of my claims. I was recently in the hospital for two weeks, my friend watched Jack for me and I was able to get a full refund for what I paid her. They allowed me to pay her 40 dollars a day. I had a check for over $500.00 in less then a week.
Jack had some urinary/kidney things that needed to get straightened out, they paid every penny of it. He was also attacked by another dog, They paid me back immediately. I like that I was able to pick the low deductible. I literally could get Jack an organ transplant with this insurance if I wanted to, which I would not do.
Also, it covers life insurance if he was to die before the age of five. He covers everything I could imagine including dental cleanings and whatever.
Specialist reimbursement is at 80 percent, which is the highest I have been able to find. I do not ever promote companies or breeders for that matter, but when I find really good ones that stand out above the rest, I do.
Hi there!
Absolutely, you can write me about the insurance. (I think you were talking to me!)
Lauri
Certainly... Camilla. I haven't subscribed yet as I don't get my puppy(Cedar) until week after next. I just know that insurance makes a lot of sense. I spent a ton of $$$ on Maggie before I lost her in October. I don't mind the periodic office visits, but the catastrophic stuff is expensive. I think the PetPlan is for the expensive stuff and not the shots & so forth, but I could be mistaken. Others could chime in on this.... I intend to call & get clarification on stuff. I do intend to microchip Cedar(my new pup's name).
I may check with you on the grooming saga when that comes up. I've purchased Oster clippers, a 3/4 Andis blade(as well as the head that comes with it), a set of 8 combs(up to 1¼ inches), de-tangler(Cowboy Magic), scissors(curved, straight and small round nose) and a several brushes and matt cutter so I've got the equipment. I still need to get some blending scissors. I'll check back with you when I get all of that. I looked at your "bad cut" & "choppy cut" pictures. I cut my own hair & have had both ;o) Like the lawyer thing... a person who cuts his own hair has a clutz for a barber.
I just went through your photos. Nice work! I live for a short period of time in Salt Lake when I was a kid and attended Highland H.S. before moving to the Seattle. I miss the great skiing. I do have Whistler somewhat close by.
I know what you mean about those expenses adding up, Mike. I will never regret having Lucy treated for her variety of issues, and that being said, I could have sent a child through college for the expense of it! I never had children, so I often justified this as the college tuition I should have had! I was so sad to lose her last May. We had wonderful time together and I am forever grateful for that. Yes, Pet Plan is more a "major medical" plan. There are 3 options, and I got the middle one. It should cover anything major. All 3 of those plans looked great.
I bet you can hardly wait until you get Cedar! Where is he coming from? We got Melody and Morgan from the same breeder...in the Spokane area. They are sure different than the Beagles I had, and I am crazy about them. I was crazy about my Beagles, too. I am hoping for better training success with the Goldendoodles!
I am really excited for you!!!!!
