Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Yesterday, I found a light colored furball at the bottom of my stairs and thought it was the cats. However, the long furball (more like a log) was light colored. This morning, the mystery was solved when our 10 week old multi-gen labradoodle coughed up a bonifide furball. Did I get duped with a kittendoodle? I haven't done any searching on google yet, but thought I'd throw out the question if any other doodle puppy owners have seen this before?
Our F1 blonde labradoodle, Brandy has become Bella's personal chew toy, so we are wondering if she is pulling/swallowing Brandy's hair and coughing it up. Brandy is in her shedding season.

Lol! Kittendoodle. I love it! Absolutely the puppy is swallowing Brandy's hair when she plays with her. I see both of my 2 swallowing each other's hair. They've always kept it down, though, and I find it in their poo. I guess a puppy has to get it out one way or another. I wouldn't worry about it as long as its coming up (or out the other end). I don't think you got duped!
That is great to hear that you had a similar experience with your doodles and their furpoo. Makes me feel better and not rush to the vets like I would normally do :)
I'm so glad to hear you had the same experience that that it subsides with age. Now, just have to stop her from eating everything that comes out of her :)
Kittendoodle, ROFL! Too funny!
Yep, that's what's happening - and one of many reasons I've taken to keeping my guys short. I have to watch 'em like a hawk when I'm grooming or they'll swoop down and vacuum up the hair for me, and we've had more than one incident of the midnight hairballs being hacked up.
LOL, good idea on keeping them short. We haven't groomed Brandy in quite a while, so I'm going to give her a really good brushing tonight and schedule the groomer asap!
