Well, I picked up Hudson today and all is well, except he is a little out of sorts. I'm guessing he hasn't slept all that well the last two nights and now he just wants to climb into his crate and curl up. I'm keeping the collar off of him and just keeping a close eye on him to make sure he isn't licking. So far, so good. He is such a gentle boy and he is clearly sad right now about the experience. I know by tomorrow I'll have to try to restrain him so he isn't running around, but right now I"m feeling guilty and wishing I could take him down the road to the stitches coming out. Our babies....

Leslie you are so correct. I had actually thought I wasn't going to get another dog. My Buford "the bouvier" died at the end of May at the age of 11 after a couple of years of significant health issues that we were supporting through some treatments and gave him a happy extended life - although at times very stressful. I was absolutely lost when he died and thought I would not get another dog because it had really tied me down. After 4 weeks I realized I missed that "tied down" :-) and Hudson has been the absolute best puppy I could have been blessed with.

Isn't it strange to miss them so much, even after only having them a short time?! I was the same way when Halas had his big boy operation. I'd only had him for like 3 months after being dogless for several years, and it felt so strange to not have him in the house. These little guys (and girls) just melt right into your heart, don't they?

That Christine!! She has puppies everywhere! Well Hudson had the Big Boy operation today and everything went extremely well. My clinic called me to tell me all was good. I'll pick him up Friday after work. I think I'll be making him a special dinner of chicken and some rice. Just cause I love him. Gosh I miss him - I feel lost without him sitting on top of my feet or trying to crawl into my lap!

Welcome to the Paw Pad group Megan. Beckett's Dad was Ziggy too. But his Mom was Lola. So they're half siblings too.

Welcome Megan and Brooks! It seems like so long ago our guys/gals were 13 weeks - but it wasn't. They just change so quickly. Keep posting pics and giving us updates.

Awww, thanks! I'm just chasing him around as we speak. After 8 p.m., he is a wild man, but so stinking cute and smart..when he wants to be! :) He is 13 weeks old..a puppy of Bonne and Ziggy...any others out there?
