Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

So I am awaiting my doodle. I took pictures today.

She is an F1b. I fell in love with her older sister from the first litter (a friend's dog)  and when I found out there was a second litter things just fell into place...

Her older sister has a VERY poodly coat. The mother is a golden doodle with a fairly curly coat as well, and the father is a poodle.

I'm thinking I might have picked the puppy with the least curly coat. Her coat seems thinner and straighter aside from her face and ears. Especially compared to her siblings. She's 51/2 weeks. Any ideas on what her coat might be like?

I'm okay either way, just curious if there is any way to tell at this age.

(in the group photo mine's the one exiting right with the pink collar.)

Nancy - she is adorable.  I love the white marking on her chest.  She does look like she has fairly straight hair but I can see a wave to it as well.  Whatever coat she ends up with - she will be beautiful.  :)

She looks similar to the puppy I am getting and when I asked my breeder, she said mine looked very similar to the mom when she was that age and would probably develop a wavy coat as an adult. This is a pic of the mom for reference. Of course these doodle genes don't encourage predictability, so obviously they don't necessarily correlate...so maybe not entirely helpful, but I know it helps feed my guessing-game mind to at least be given some idea! haha

wow, she does look similar.

Thanks.

Nancy- You, Stephanie & myself all have very similar goldendoodles coming home soon!! My guy is an F1B, here he is at 4 weeks. He's 6 weeks now-so he may have changed, I'm supposed to get updated pictures today! My breeder said that he'll probably look like mom as well- she looks like the mom in Stephanie's picture, just red!

thanks for sharing.

At 3.5 weeks my pup was curlier on the head. So she should probably be fine.
