I can't seem to find it when I google it. Please let us know what you think. I'm in Whitewater and I LOVE Bicentennial Park in Johnson Creek, but it does take me 25 minutes or so to get there. Maybe Delevan would be closer.

We found out about a private dog park, Westminister Farm, on HWY 11 two miles west of Delavan. It's 40 acres with woods, creek, pond, meadow and trails. You need to be a member to use it. Has anyone tried it? We're going to check it out
this week.

We are participating in the Lakeland Animal Shelter "Whisker Walk" this Saturday. Check out our fundraising page.

It's a fun event with activities in addition to the one mile walk. Last year the event raised $21,000.

Hi Sue, I live about 1/2 hour from the Verona Dog Park and since I live on 40 acres, I have my own dog park. I have taken my girls there in the past and have mixed feeling about it. I have met friends there with their dogs and most of the time it has been fine. The few times I have heard of trouble when iresponsible dog owners with agressive dogs don't keep an eye on their own pets and have heard of a few problems. We decided to invisible fence in about 2 acres for our 3 girls and I feel better about not having to worry. Keep in mind there are no bathroom facilites at the park in Verona and it's big enough to get a good brisk walk in. Good luck if you go and let me know your thoughts.

Susan,

The first is a link to the park and the second link is a map of the dog park area. I am going to try it out either today or tomorrow.

Just a word of warning to anyone who might either frequent or think about frequenting the dog park in Burlington, WI. We had been there a couple of times before, but took the girls yesterday and both were attacked by a pitbull mix who was just coming out of heat. Lola, my more skiddish one was really attacked, but is doing fine. I guess according to others who were in the park that this guy is known for having his dog attack/be unstable and from one patron who yelled at the guy that he was mistreating his dog right before we came in so that might have set the tone. The dog is black and white. Just want to warn others. I think we are going to try Minooka Park Dog Park this weekend. I know that with multiple personalities that anything can happen in a dog park, but it was obvious that this guy caused his pit bull to have this behavior. Just want to warn others as there isn't much recourse from these types of people in the dog parks.
