The beard, mustache, eyebrows, all the fur on the faces; there's a gene responsible for that. Labs, Border Cillies, Great Danes and Goldens are examples of breeds without furnishings. Poodles, Schnauzers, Old English Sheppdogs, and Wheaten Terriers are examples of breeds that do have furnishings.

Silly me...but what are "furnishings"?

The silver Poodle is still a puppy, and is still "clearing", i.e. getting silver. The face is usually the first to lighten, and the ears are usually the last.
I'd love to see Winnie with some furnishings, not that she isn't gorgeous just the way she is.

That silver poodle is GORGEOUS.

I think Winnie might look like that if I get a good groomer, since she has so much white hair under her chin especially and on her head, too

Poodle puppy; wouldn't you think this was a doodle?

Thanks for the info on DNA TESTS, Karen here’s another pic of Winnie.

Annabelle is a f1b, so she has a lot of poodle in her. When I first started taking her to the groomer, she always came back looking like a poodle. We would call her Fifi for a couple of days until she started looking like herself again. I have been tempted to do a dna test on her.
